“Evening, all –

I’m a newcomer to your podcast, and love it. You’re definitely the
go-to guys to help me with a question.

I’m finally about to dip my toe into the smart phone market, and have
all but decided to go with some flavour of Android instead of the
iPhone. The problem I’m facing now is that the Android OS being
available to any hardware manufacturer is double-edged: it gives the
public a lot of choice for their Android device, but there’s almost
TOO MUCH choice now for those of us who are new to the smart phone
industry.

So I put it to you, the experts: What are your top five picks for
Android phones, and why? I’m interested in the whole package: speed,
performance, current OS, and both aesthetics and practicality of the
hardware design.

Thanks very much!
