According to HTC’s Mo Versi, vice president of product management, the company has received technical approval on the update and will begin deployment in the coming hours. Looking through some of the replies in Versi’s tweet, it appears that some have already been handed their Lollipop.
It’s worth noting that neither version of the HTC One M8 is subject to additional certifications from the wireless provider, so carrier-branded models shouldn’t fall too far behind this Android update.
