Samsung could soon introduce a dust-proof and waterproof version of its Galaxy S6 smartphone. According to rumors and images obtained by GSMArena, the phone could pack many of the specifications found in the flagship model.

Those with more physically demanding jobs or lives may appreciate having a phone that can withstand drops and dunks. And, thanks to its rumored hardware, this new model may also be able run with today’s top Androids.

Reportedly, the so-called Galaxy S6 Active will offer users the same 5.1-inch display and 16-megapixel rear camera. Additionally, it is alleged to feature a top-tier processor and 5-megapixel front-facing shooter.

While the phone would mirror the standard S6 in most categories it does differ in a few spots. For starters, the Active model is rumored to boast a 3,500mAh battery. By contrast, the Galaxy S6 comes with a 2,600mAh power supply.

Another area where the S6 Active diverges is in the button configuration. Based on the leaked images, we can see Samsung may have opted for hard keys in place of software keys.

Given that the phone is designed to withstand water, we may not look for the S6 Active to include the fingerprint scanner. It’s not visible in the photos; also, getting a clean read would prove very difficult with water getting in the way.

As to where the Samsung Galaxy S6 ends up, AT&T seems to make the most sense. The photos, and freshly leaked renders from evleaks, all show Ma Bell’s logo on the rear. Adding to the argument, AT&T was the exclusive carrier for the Galaxy S4 Active and Galaxy S5 Active .

CNET has contacted Samsung for comment and will update the article with new information.
