A new iPhone launched! But where are the lines? (The 3:59, Ep. 20)

What if Apple launched an iPhone, and no one showed up?

Well, that’s sort of what happened today when the company released its iPhone SE to little fanfare. There weren’t any lines, but a couple of people did show up to buy the new, smaller phone. CNET’s Ben Fox Rubin was on the scene and shared his thoughts.

Also on the podcast, we discuss those other products coming out today, the Amazon Tap and Echo Dot. For some, that may be the more exciting news. It might be high time for Apple to consider making its own version of the Echo.

Speaking of Amazon, we try not to snicker as we talk about the online retail giant’s new Dash button for Trojan condoms.

Also, stick around for after the first 3:59 for a bonus segment where we talk about “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.” (Big time spoiler alert!)

The 3:59 gives you bite-size news and analysis about the top stories of the day, brought to you by CNET Executive Editor Roger Cheng and Senior Writer Ben Fox Rubin.
