Edible straws made of cookie dough? That’s one way to keep all those plastic straws out of the landfill.
Starbucks released a new drink on Tuesday, the S’mores Frappuccino, and just in time for the super-sugary drink’s release, the company is debuting a super-sugary cookie straw you can use to drink it.

The Starbucks cookie straw, a rolled sweet wafer biscuit lined with rich chocolate ganache, is only available in the US and Canada, and it won’t automatically come with the S’mores Frappuccino. For that privilege you’ll have to pay an additional 95 cents (though for that price you’re also getting a sleep aid, as there’s no way you’re going to be able to avoid a sugar crash after consuming all of that S’more-y, sugary goodness). Just stick it into one of those edible KFC cookie coffee cups that debuted in the UK earlier this year, and you’re set for a sugar coma.
Recyclable food-related creations seem to be whetting the public’s appetite these days. In addition to the edible KFC coffee cup and the Starbucks cookie straw, a Kickstarter campaign for the ” world’s first plantable coffee cup,” which turns your used cup into trees, successfully reached its fundraising goal earlier this year.
The S’mores Frappuccino is a blended drink with marshmallow-infused whipped cream, milk chocolate sauce, graham crackers, coffee and milk and ice, and it’s topped with even more marshmallow whipped cream and a graham cracker crumble. All it’s missing is even more chocolate drizzle.
