Eager iPad anticipators needn’t worry about getting their hands on the gorgeous tablet any longer — just turn up early on Friday morning at Currys, PC World or Dixons Travel with cash in hand. The iPad will be in stock at 139 DSGi stores on 28 May, as well as Apple’s own shops and Best Buy in Thurrock.
According to The Times, the iPad will be available from around one fifth of DSGi’s total UK stores, but British customers have been left guessing as to where exactly they might touch its sleek polished face.
As for pre-orders, only early birds — those who ordered theirs before the
release date was pushed back — will get theirs on Friday. Everyone else will have to wait until next week and kick themselves for not going to a store to pick it up.
Prices start at £429 for the basic 16GB Wi-Fi model, rising to £699 for the top of the range 3G version. If you haven’t decided on O2, Vodafone, Orange or 3 for your iPad data, now’s a great time to check out our detailed comparisons.
