Kogan outs 10

Kogan may sell iPads and Galaxy Tabs through its online store, but the company is hoping to make a splash with its new, self-branded tablet computer — a 10-inch model running Google’s Ice Cream Sandwich version of the Android platform.

The new Kogan Agora tablet is available in two internal storage variants; an 8GB model for AU$179 and a 16GB for AU$199.

“While the new iPad is no doubt resolutionary, it does come with a comparatively hefty price tag,” said the company’s owner Ruslan Kogan in a statement. “We’ve been working hard to bring the latest technology to everyone, not just those who can afford $800 for a gadget”.

The tablets run on 1.2GHz processors with 1GB RAM. They also feature HDMI connectivity and micro-SD card slots for memory expansion. Both tablets are available now, and come with a 12-month warranty and a 7-day money-back guarantee.
