LAS VEGAS — Fujifilm bolsters its X-mount lens line with the fast, weather-resistant 16-55mm (24-84mm equivalent) lens it promised last year. The XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR fills the hole for a fast, quiet general-purpose zoom to pair with the higher-end X series cameras like the X-T1 .

While it sadly omits image stabilization, it incorporates all the rest of the key features you expect from a $1,200 lens. (UK and Australian pricing was not available at the time of this writing, but a direct conversion would be £783 or AU$1,490.) These include the company’s Twin Linear Motor technology, a rounded 9-blade aperture, Fujifilm’s latest flare-and-ghosting-resistant coating (Nano-GI), a physical aperture ring and 14-point weather sealing.
