In addition to the 16-55mm f2.8 it announced at CES, Fujifilm now gives us a peek at what else to expect in its X-mount lenses for 2015 and beyond.
If you’re familiar with the last roadmap, there are a few surprises here. The 90mm f2 and 16mm f1.4 look like they’re still on schedule for the first half of this year.
The generic “Super Telephoto” lens has turned into a 150-600mm lens — aperture range still unknown. 150-600mm seems to be becoming a very popular zoom; both Sigma and Tamron offer new lenses with that range.
For the second half of 2015, Fujifilm plans a 35mm f2 and a 1.4x teleconverter, while going into 2016 we’ll see a 120mm f2.8 macro and a 100-400mm. The teleconverter will only work with the 50-140mm f2.8, 120mm f2.8 macro and 100-400mm lenses; in other words, when it ships it will only work with one lens.
If you want to see the entire roadmap including existing lens models, here it is.
