Sprint is pulling the plug on its prepaid service Virgin Mobile. Starting in February, customers will be transferred to another Sprint prepaid service, Boost Mobile. Florida has joined a list of other states that have settled claims regarding T-Mobile’s $26.5 billion takeover of Sprint, Attorney General Ashley Moody said Wednesday. The Federal Communications Commission says Sprint is defrauding its Lifeline program, which subsidizes phone and broadband service for the poor.
