Verizon’s third

Verizon on Wednesday announced what it called “strong” third-quarter earnings, thanks to growth in its wireless phone business and Fios home internet service.  The company reported an earnings per share of $1.05 for the quarter, down from analyst estimates of $1.24 according to Yahoo Finance.
