    Verizon’s Q2 profit up 13 percent on wireless strength

    Verizon continues to see a slowdown in customer growth, but oddly enough, that’s producing strong profits for the telecommunications giant. The New York telecommunications company posted a profit of $1.83 billion, or 64 cents a share, up from $1.61 billion, or 57 cents a share. Revenue, meanwhile, rose 3.7 percent to $28.55 billion.
