Apple nabs Intel’s modem business in $1 billion bet on 5G

It’s official. Apple’s taking a leap forward in wireless chips by buying Intel’s smartphone modem business for $1 billion. The two companies announced the news Thursday. About 2,200 Intel employees will join Apple, along with intellectual property, equipment and leases. eBay will launch its own delivery service in 2020

eBay is launching fulfillment centers for faster shipping, much like competitor Amazon. The original online retail giant will have sellers deploy their goods to warehouses from which they’ll be shipped to customers in eBay-branded boxes.
