The Nexus 4 is back on sale in the US, Germany and Canada, suggesting that the dirt-cheap Google smart phone will shortly be back in stock in the UK.
The quad-core smart phone, which has been winning praise with its beautiful screen and even more beautiful price-tag, popped up once more on Google Play yesterday, our sister site CNET News reports.
Other nations were soon to follow. At the time of writing the Nexus 4 is still absent from the UK version of Google’s Play store, but I’d recommend refreshing this page today if you’ve been unsuccessful so far in snapping up the LG-built mobile.
Meanwhile a white version of the Nexus 4 has been spied in a cryptic photograph, suggesting that an even more elusive version of LG’s glorious smart phone could be in the works.
Phonearena reports that it received the image via an “anonymous source”. The picture itself gives little away, but crucially confirms that the glittery back casing that adorns the regular Nexus is still present.
The site says that data hidden within the photo suggests it was taken a week ago on an LG Optimus G — a smart phone that’s yet to go on sale in the UK.
There’s every chance the photo shows a prototype, or a dummy model mocked up so that LG could see what a hypothetical white Nexus 4 would look like, or a colour option that’ll never make it to the UK. Personally I think the white version in that photo is looking rather flashy, so I’d like to see it go on sale at some point.
