DTS products bearing its Play-Fi logo are now compatible with the Spotify Connect streaming standard, the company has announced. These include gear from Polk, Definitive Technology, Wren and Phorus.
Prices for Play-Fi products start at $149 in the US for the Phorus PS1 speaker and currently culminate in the Definitive Technology W Studio at $1,299 .
Spotify Connect allows music streaming between compatible products and was introduced in September 2013.
The Play-Fi devices join a growing list of Spotify Connect-compatible products that also includes wireless dongles, tabletop speakers, receivers and sound bars. Find out more about how Spotify Connect works here.
Wren’s latest product, the V5US , was launched two weeks ago, and came with Spotify Connect out of the box.
DTS Play-Fi is an open standard which supports streaming services from Deezer, Pandora and Songza in addition to hi-res audio file compatibility from PCs or DLNA.
