The Audiophiliac is almost seven years old, and it hardly seems possible, but I’ve written over 1,100 posts. Last July, I asked my readers to spout a bit of their own wisdom and be an Audiophiliac for a day. It’s time we try this again: just write a “think piece” about analog, digital, your first hi-fi, low- or high-end audio, and I’ll let you have the floor. If you have something to say about what’s wrong with the audio or music business, or maybe a wish list of products that need to be invented, send it to me, and I might post your article on this blog. John O.’s ” Chasing the ultimate sound system” was the winning entry from last year’s “Audiophiliac for a Day” contest.

I’m definitely not looking for product reviews, but any audio- or sound-quality-related subject is up for grabs. Feel free to take a view that opposes mine. Now that the Audiophiliac blog is posted on CNET’s UK and Australia sites, it would be great to hear from you guys, too!

The piece should be between 400 and 600 words. There will be only one entry selected for publication. The deadline for entries is Friday, June 20, 2014. Send your copy to TheAudiophiliac (at) hotmail-dot-com, and paste the text into the copy of the email (don’t attach files, please), and please understand that your copy will be edited. The winning article will post in late June or early July. Good luck to all!
