To butcher an old gag from The Fast Show: “Do you like TVs? Do you like free things? Then you’ll love the new Sharp Aquos LC46XL2E.” Of course the original gag was about cheese and peas, but you get the point.
So, what free gear do you get with this 46-inch LCD TV? Well, you can choose either a free home installation, or a free TV stand. The other option is a £200 discount on the new Sharp Blu-ray player, bringing it down to just £200. Obviously, you’ll have to decide which offer suits you best, but we’d suggest the TV stand is a good option — it’s gorgeous.
There are plenty of other reasons to buy an LC46XL2E. For a start, it’s one of the nicest looking TVs Sharp has ever produced. It’s finished in the traditional piano black, but the lines of the TV are sleek and modern and it’s incredibly thin too.
Freeview is built in, as you would expect in this day and age, and you can also pop a Top Up TV conditional access module in the TV too, if you want to pay for some extra programming.
But this TV hasn’t finished impressing us yet — it’s also a Full HD 1080p TV with 10-bit picture processing, 4ms response time, three HDMI inputs and a contrast ratio of 2,000:1. Sharp is also claiming a panel lifespan of 60,000 hours. That’s an awful lot of Jeremy Kyle.
You can get information on the special offers on free installation, TV stand or Blu-ray discount, which are available on other Aquos TVs too, on the Sharp Web site.
