Seven unveils 7Two digital channel

Seven has announced the details of its new digital channel called 7Two which begins broadcasting next month and will feature a mix of new run series and “old favourites”.

7Two will begin broadcasting on 1 November 2009 on digital channel 72 (Seven Two, geddit?) and will be the first place to see the new series of Ugly Betty, Heroes, Lost and 24.

The rest of the channel’s programming will include the “very best of British television”, themed nights including Action & Adventure, Lifestyle and Movies, and cooking programs from the likes of Jamie Oliver.

While Nine is rumoured to be courting Top Gear, 7Two will broadcast the “other” UK motoring show Fifth Gear.
