Sonos has announced that Apple Music will finally come to its streaming system in December, becoming the first third-party manufacturer to support the service.
Apple announced it was working with Sonos in June 2015 and said at the time Apple Music would be available on the hardware by the end of the year.
Apple Music will be available to beta users from December 15, but neither company has announced when it will be available to all Sonos customers.
Apple Music debuted as a streaming competitor to Spotify in the middle of 2015 and amalgamated the previous Beats Music service, offering curated stations for $9.99 per month, or$14.99 per month for a family. Sonos says that its hardware will support up to the six accounts of a family subscription.
Sonos offers a suite of multiroom music products that currently supports more streaming services than any competitors as well as offering universal music search.
