You can now watch live Premier League games and a range of sporting action as it happens right on your smart phone or tablet, as Sky Sports comes to Now TV for a tenner a day.
Now TV is Sky’s online catch-up and on-demand service for those of who have don’t want to fork out for a dish. Sporting highlights set for Now TV include Barclays Premier League and UEFA Champions League matches, Formula 1 Grand Prix races, the Lions tour of Australia, Ashes Test cricket, golf, including the Masters, and ATP tennis.
Sport on Now TV costs £10 for 24 hours access to all six Sky Sports channels. Whether that’s good value or not depends on what sports you’re into. If you want to watch a full day of a sport like cricket, golf or Formula 1, then it’s not too bad. Or perhaps there’s a few games on that day that you want to see.
But you have to really want to see the game if you’re forking out a tenner for a single football match, unless you get some mates round and have a whip-round — which doubtless won’t impress the landlord of your local.
You can watch Now TV on your phone, tablet or computer, as well sa selected games consoles and set-top boxes, including the Xbox 360 and Roku box. The service also offers dish-free access to Sky Movies channels on your phone, tablet and computer.

Right, I’m off to see if I can round up ten friends to each chuck in a nugget for the big game next weekend, when title-chasing pride of Merseyside, Tranmere Rovers, take on Stevenage. Guys? Guys…?
