Monster protection

Many homes in Australia are plagued by an inconsistent power supply. Surges and spikes in the AC mains power, and power blackouts and lighting in particular, can destroy connected devices as higher than expected voltage travels through the lines. Often people have surge protectors guarding their PCs, but forget to protect similarly sensitive (and expensive) home theatre components and TVs.

Monster has just launched the latest in its line up of home theatre surge protectors. The Monster AV 800 offers can store a spike up to 2500 joules plus it will automatically disconnect all connected equipment in the instance of a serious power hit. The AV 800 has eight labelled and colour coded power sockets for easy identification and a heavy-duty extra long cord and a flat plug with gold plated contacts for maximum power transfer. It comes with a Connected Equipment Warranty of up to AU$150,000 and is available for AU$149 RRP.
