The Harry Potter Wizard’s Collection box-set is due out in the UK on September 10, with Amazon.co.uk listing the mammoth collection at a Gringotts-busting £195.
Potter fans looking for a wizard wheeze should pay attention to the noises their lungs make as they lug this epic box-set from their doorstep to the living room. The Wizard’s Collection comprises a whopping whomping 31 discs, and comes in a cube-shaped fold-out chest that looks like something you’d find in a back room of Flourish & Blotts.
The set includes all eight movies on Blu-ray and DVD, with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows parts one and two on Blu-ray 3D as well. You’ll get both theatrical and extended-cut versions of Philosopher’s Stone and Chamber of Secrets as well.
The box-set has something called ‘UltraViolet Digital Copy’ editions, which let you stream and download the movies digitally, once you’ve proved you own them.
If the huge number of formats on which to enjoy your favourite characters’ voyage through puberty isn’t enough, you’ll be treated to 37 hours of bonus features, 5 hours of which are all new. Oh, and a bumper crop of concept art and a map of Hogwarts. Tidy.
Will you be stumping up nigh on £200 for the privilege? Or will you be waving your wand and shouting ‘accio!’ in the hope of summoning the box-set from an Amazon warehouse? Let me know in the comments or on our Facebook wall.
Oh, and if you have any strong opinions on how exactly to pronounce ‘accio’, any advice would be much appreciated. I leave you with a trailer for the box-set, and an adorable video in which a tiny Rupert Grint details drawing an unflattering picture of Alan Rickman.
