If you’ve ever visited the Chromecast Offers page, you probably know that Google has given away more subscriptions or credits than the device costs to purchase ($35). Now it’s back with another deal that gives you $6 just for having the Chromecast powered on and connected to your Wi-Fi network. The deal is officially a gift for Valentine’s Day, to cover the cost of a movie rental you can stream to your TV while snuggling on the couch.

In order to get your $6 credit, head to the Chromecast Offers page and agree to the terms. Then, if you don’t have the Chrome extension installed, you’ll be prompted to download and install a copy of it.

After this is completed, the extension’s menu will open and you’ll need to pick the device for which you want to redeem the offer. Pick the Valentine’s Day offer in the top left-hand corner and then you’ll be forwarded to the Google Play store, where you can confirm the credit and see your new balance.

So this Valentine’s Day, you’ll need to shell out the cash for dinner and gifts, but Google has the cost of the movie covered.
