Special ‘Game of Thrones’ pricing returns to Foxtel Play

If you’re a “Game of Thrones” fan, then you’ll already have April 25 locked into your diary, because that’s when episode one of season six airs. In Australia that’s happening at 11 a.m., which gives you time to get to Dawn Service and back.

If you’re not a regular subscriber to Foxtel then you might be pleased to hear that the pay TV provider is once again offering special GoT pricing for its IPTV service Foxtel Play. Play lets you build your own programming run by picking from a number of available genre packs. The first pick costs AU$25 per month, two cost AU$35, three AU$45 and it’s AU$50 for all four. From there you can add one or two premium picks: Sport for AU$25 or Premium Drama and Movies for AU$20.

Sign up between April 18 and 29 and you can get a three-month subscription that includes access to the Premium Drama and Movies option for just AU$5, making it AU$30 per month.

So while it might sound like AU$9 an episode for season six, don’t forget that you do get access to all the Foxtel programming that your genre pick and the Premium Drama offers, such as “Veep, “Penny Dreadful” and “Casual”.
