Comcast Xfinity customers will be able to watch the first season of “House of Cards” without need of a Netflix subscription.

The series comes to Comcast courtesy of a deal announced on Monday with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment that gives the cable company rights to sell the initial season, Variety has reported. Though Netflix holds the streaming rights for “House of Cards,” Sony is in charge of distribution internationally and through home video.

“House of Cards” will make its debut in the Xfinity Store by mid-April, according to a Comcast spokesman.

The new deal also gives Comcast the rights to offer other Sony TV shows and movies ahead of the normal video-on-demand rental time frame, Variety added. Starting Tuesday, Xfinity customers will able to rent or buy such titles as “Breaking Bad,” “Captain Phillips,” “The Amazing Spider-Man,” and “21 Jump Street.”‘

A similar agreement between Comcast and Lionsgate will see Netflix’s “Orange Is the New Black” series land in the Xfinity Store on May 13.

Comcast sells TV shows and movies to Xfinity customers through its Xfinity Store. Subscribers can watch videos on their TVs, through their computers, or via the mobile Xfinity On Demand Purchases app for iOS and Android.

Update, 10:44 a.m. PT: Added a comment from Comcast about the availability of “House of Cards.”
