But do they have popcorn?

We all strive to have the best home theatre we can, but Australian Runco distributor Network Audio Visual sends word of a newly-completed home theatre installation in the eastern suburbs of Sydney that blew past the AU$3 million mark.

Two years in the making, the residence boasts two cinemas built around Runco VX55 projectors. The VX55 is a AU$200,000 three-chip 1080p DLP projector that outputs 8000 ansi lumens and hosts a long list of patent pending technologies. The projector holds both THX and ISF certification.

No word on how large the actual cinemas are, but the projector can handle up to a nine metre wide screen. And of course the installation, completed by AVD Home Technologies at St Leonards, includes an AMX control system for the lights, audio and security.
