Beyerdynamic wants to make your headphones sound better

Beyerdynamic makes some of my favorite headphones, but the company readily admits that an audio chain is only as good as its weakest link. Take their T 51 p on-ear headphones I raved about in November, they sound fine plugged into a phone, but to really hear the T 51 p, or any high-end headphone really strut its stuff you need an audiophile grade digital converter and headphone amplifier. That’s where Beyerdynamic’s A 200 p comes in handy.

It receives digital music data from an iPhone, iPod, or iPad via Lightning connector, or Android phones or tablets with Android 4.1 or higher via Micro-USB, as well as Mac and Windows laptops.

Measuring a trim 2.2 inches by 2.2 inches by 0.5 inches, the A 200 p fits anywhere, and the battery provides up to 11 hours of music playing time. The Beyerdynamic A 200 p retails for $299 and is available now.

The Beyerdynamic A 200 p is currently on display at CES 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
