Apple TV gets Lifetime and History Channel apps

Apple TV has added three new apps for cable subscribers this morning which include Lifetime, History Channel and A&E.

According to The Verge the new on-demand channels are only for subscribers of DirecTV, Verizon FiOS, and Cablevision Optimum, though access from other providers is reportedly promised.

The latest apps join Disney Junior and Major League Soccer which were added in September 2013, while the Apple TV is rumored to get a major new hardware release sometime in 2014.
