LG UX10: Windows 7 tablet PC hooks you up with HDMI

There are so many tablets around at the moment, we worry we might overdose. The LG UX10 is the latest prototype flat Windows PC to drop.

Engadget reports the UX10 is a pre-production model packing an Atom Z530 chip with 1GB of DDR2 RAM and a 120GB hard drive. It’s rocking Windows 7 Home Premium.

It sports a 10.1-inch capacitive LED screen, with a micro-HDMI output to watch downloaded films on a TV. A 1.3-megapixel camera and SD card slot round out the package.

Wi-Fi is 802.11b, g and n, but there’s no 3G apparently. LG makes phones, so mobile connectivity could be added as the tablet nears production — if it gets that far. Apple may have sold 2 million iPads in two months, but the slate market is far from a proven money-spinner. That hasn’t stopped IT trade show Computex 2010 from being awash with tablets, however, including the Asus Eee Pad EP121 and EP101TC.
