Apple has unleashed a day of Black Friday discounts. Today you can save £81 on an Apple computer or £35 on an iPad, with free delivery. Huh. That’s not so much Black Friday as drizzly-grey Friday.
This week is popularly quoted as the busiest week of the year for online shopping as shoppers buy presents in time for delivery before Christmas. We don’t know why everyone’s so previous — that’s what 24-hour garages are for. UK present-buyers were expected to spend to £22.4m every hour on Monday alone. £22.4m is enough for six Apple products.
Only kidding — they’re not quite that expensive, especially not today. An iPad starts at £394, knocking £35 off the usual price. The iPod touch costs £174, knocking £15 off. Buying an iPod nano 6th gen today will save you a paltry £11.
If you have your eye on something bigger, there’s £81 off across the board in laptop and desktop computers. There’s also free delivery on all items in the offer today, which offers further savings on cheaper items that Apple normally levies a charge for. Deals also benefit from 4 per cent cashback if you go to Quidco first.
Sadly there are no deals on the iPhone 4, but assorted accessories have been discounted, with up to £20 off iPad cases and up to £50 off speaker docks.
Meanwhile, Amazon’s Black Friday week continues to delight and disappoint shoppers. Deals currently up for a grabs include a Canon IXUS 105 compact camera, but many Amazonian bargain hunters are frustrated with the speed that deals disappear.
