O2 may flog the HTC Sensation from Monday 20 June — about three and a half weeks from today.
That’s according to an existing O2 customer who claims to have been given the Sensation’s due date by a member of the operator’s upgrade department. The customer then tipped off DialToSave.
O2, like most operators, likes to keep fairly quiet about exact release dates. You won’t find anyone on O2’s official Twitter account giving anything away, the stock line being: “We don’t have a confirmed date just yet. However, it’s coming soon — watch this space.”
There’s no mention of the Sensation on O2’s website. If the tipster is correct, we should expect to see tariff information published a week before launch — Monday 13 June.
We’re also still waiting for Orange, T-Mobile and Three to announce their Sensation deals. The Sensation’s been available on Vodafone for a week already.
The SIM-free version of the Sensation is also expected in mid-June, priced at around £500. It can be pre-ordered now from various outlets, including Amazon.
