Samsung’s Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 7.7 and Wave 3 look set to be the ‘something big is coming‘ it promised earlier this week.
These names were found by This Is My Next in the form of product logos in Samsung’s own teaser app for next week’s IFA trade show, and give us an indication of what the new devices are.
The Galaxy Tab 7.7 will join Samsung’s line of Honeycomb tablets alongside the impressive Galaxy Tab 10.1 and the still unreleased Galaxy Tab 8.9. We can obviously expect it to have a 7.7-inch screen, and as such it should be running Android 3.2, the latest version of Honeycomb designed with smaller screens in mind, probably with Samsung’s TouchWiz UX on top.
The Wave 3 will be Samsung’s new flagship for its home-made Bada operating system. We liked the hardware of the original Wave and the Wave 2, but while we think Bada is easy enough to use, it has only a few thousand apps, compared to the hundreds of thousands on Android and iOS.
The final device we can expect to see is the Galaxy Note. While our best guess is this will be a new Android smart phone, this is all we know. Keen fans of the alphabet will note (see what we did there?) it doesn’t conform to Samsung’s new alphabetical naming conventions (W for Wonder, M for Magical, etc and so on), so it’s anyone’s guess as to what the Galaxy Note will actually be.
