The monumentally patronising HTC Bliss phone aimed at ladies seems to have surfaced online, under the moniker HTC Rhyme.
German site HTC Inside has acquired press shots of the Rhyme, which apparently boasts a 3.7-inch screen, and runs Android version 2.3 Gingerbread. There are no other specs at the moment, but going by the photo this Android smart phone will be available in silver.
It looks a lot like the HTC Desire S, and despite the appropriate name the Rhyme won’t be sporting the Beats audio tech that recently showed up in the HTC Sensation XE.
This phone will be running HTC Sense 3.5, which is the new version of HTC’s Android skin, and is set to pack a redesigned look for the home screen.
Peeking at the phone’s homescreen in these leaked press shots, Singapore seems to be shown as a location. That suggests that you might be looking at a version of the phone that we won’t be getting here in the UK.
Colours and even the name could be subject to change, so the Rhyme could emerge as the Bliss after all. We expect to know for sure on 20 September, when HTC has a press conference scheduled, inviting the world’s press to ‘celebrate in style with HTC.’
The rumoured Bliss was supposed to come in a ‘calming’ green colour, with a rubberised back to make the phone easier to hold. Oh, and let’s not forget the ‘charm indicator’ that tells you when you’ve got a message.
