In case you didn’t already know, Amazon really wants you to know about the features on its Kindle Fire.
After touting earlier this week highlighed applications, we have one more reason to consider the 7-inch device.
According to a follow-up to Wednesday’s press announcement, Amazon also plans to offer support for Hulu Plus and its library of content. So in case the access to Amazon’s standard library of movies, television shows, and music isn’t enough, Hulu Plus can offer you more.
It’s interesting to note that Hulu Plus was one of the features used to promote the newly unveiled Nook Tablet earlier in the week. Granted, it’s certainly worth bragging about, but Amazon’s announcement also means that this is one less feature that Barnes & Noble can use to distinguish its new tablet from the Kindle Fire.
I’ll often find that users of streaming media (TV and movies) services will fall into one of three big players: Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Hulu Plus. While each has its own advantages and drawbacks, the Kindle Fire at least gives users the option to choose at a device level.
On the other hand, the Nook Tablet does come with support for Hulu Plus and Netflix. And as the wise man Meat Loaf once told us, “two out of three ain’t bad.”
