Dying for a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich on your Samsung Galaxy S2? As you wait for your phone to update to the latest version of Android, Samsung has prepared a handy guide to all things ICS.
Cool Smart Phone has compiled Samung’s Ice Cream Sandwich guide into a handy PDF. It’s a bit dry, but does contain some useful hints, like making sure you’ve updated to Kies 2.0 ready for the update.
It also provides a reminder that Ice Cream Sandwich doesn’t support Flash and your wallpaper will disappear when you update. Boooo.
New features include face unlock, new-look multi-tasking, improved text highlighting, and a restart button for faster off-and-on-againing.
Samsung is releasing the update this week, but that’s only the first step towards Ice Cream Sandwich appearing on your phone. Your phone network has to test the update and make sure it works with any extras added to your phone. To find out when that’s going to happen, bookmark our guide to when the Samsung Galaxy S2 gets Ice Cream Sandwich on each phone network, which we’re updating with details from each network.
If you have an unlocked S2, you should be able to update as soon as Ice Cream Sandwich is available.
