In line with the announcements from Optus and Virgin Mobile last week, Vodafone will join HTC in launching the One X smartphone, with handsets in store on 3 April.
Vodafone Australia has a pre-registration page live on its site now, though there is no word yet on pricing. It’s highly likely Vodafone will match the prices of its competitors, with Virgin offering the One X for AU$0 upfront on a AU$59 plan over 24 months.
On its customer blog, Vodafone is offering the chance to win one of five double passes to the One X launch event in Sydney next week.
The One X will be the first smartphone to run on the quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor in Australia, and comes with Beats Audio enhancement software and Google’s latest version of the Android operating system.
