NEW ORLEANS–In addition to showing off its V96 tablet this year here at CTIA, ZTE also displayed its AT&T Avail. The device is a prepaid GoPhone that retails for $129.99.

Equipped with a 3.5-inch TFT touch-screen display, the Avail has a 600MHz processor and includes 512MB of RAM.
It’s a 3G phone that’s powered by a 1,500mAh battery, and has a reported talk time of 5 hours. It also has a microSD slot that takes cards of up to 32GB.
On the back, the device has a 5-megapixel camera that’s capable of shooting video and has a digital zoom of up to 2.5X.

When I got a chance to handle the handset, I liked the matte plastic material that the Avail was made out of. The specs fit just around the entry-level to midlevel range, so don’t expect a lot of bells and whistles.
Though some will think the price doesn’t match the specs, others who like going the prepaid route may consider the Avail.
