As it runs out of stock of its Lumia headphones in the lead-up to Windows Phone 8, Nokia is offering a free pair of Purity HD headphones with Lumia purchases in Australia, valued at AU$249 RRP.
The offer applies to all customers who buy either the Lumia 800 or 900 headset between today and 30 September 2012.
These headphones are a sturdy-feeling, over-the-ear pair of cans, available in the four signature colours of Nokia Lumia phone range. They are noise isolating, and come with cables with music-playback controls that only work with Windows Phones, according to the official literature.
The Purity headphone range is born of a partnership between Nokia and Monster, a company best known for cabling. Monster moved into personal audio in 2008, when it partnered with Dr Dre’s Beats Electronics, although this partnership has since dissolved.
Nokia is believed to be preparing to launch its next range of Windows Phone handsets, with speculation that the announcement of new phones could take place at the company’s annual Nokia World event on 5 and 6 September.
