Verizon and HTC have one more mobile device to unveil for the holidays, and it looks to be a big one.
The companies are widely believed to be releasing the Droid DNA, which Verizon accidentally leaked Monday on its own Web site. (It has since been scrubbed.)

The Droid DNA is said to feature a large, 5-inch display, moving into the tweener category referred to by some as a “phablet.” The smartphone is expected to come with 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, and a possible quad-core 1.5GHz Snapdragon S4 processor. It will also likely come out with Android 4.1, known as Jelly Bean, since it wasn’t among the first wave of Android 4.2 devices.
For Verizon, this is just the latest in a number of new devices already set to launch around the holiday season, and it bulks up the carrier’s product portfolio beyond the iPhone 5. It’s a more meaningful launch for HTC, which continues to struggle financially and badly needs a hit phone to reinvigorate its flagging fortunes.
