Brits and Germans will soon be able to get their hands on an LG Nexus 4 smartphone, with Google releasing more inventory in its Google Play store today.

Some people in the U.K. received notices from Google that the Nexus 4 would be available today.

Users on Reddit posted information and shared images of notices from Google that said they’d be able to order the phone today. And sure enough, Google Play showed the devices were in stock at about 5 p.m. GMT today, or 9 a.m. PT, just as the notice promised.

According to Google’s U.K. site, the 8GB version of the phone will ship to buyers in four to five weeks. The 16GB version will be available much sooner, in about one to two weeks, according to the site.

We’ve reached out to Google for additional details and will update when we hear back.

The LG Nexus 4 has been selling out pretty rapidly, with users forced to wait many weeks for the device to ship or even show availability online. The smartphone is one developed closely with Google, giving a pure and polished experience with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, as CNET reviewers noted last month. However, it also lacks 4G LTE capabilities, though that doesn’t appear to be hurting demand for the device.

The Nexus 4 already is facing low inventory again in the U.S. The Google Play store today shows that the 8GB version of the device is sold out and that the 16GB version “ships soon,” i.e., in five to six weeks.

Google started selling the unlocked phone on November 13. The 8GB version costs $299, while the 16GB version retails for $349. The device quickly sold out online, and Google released additional inventory just last week in the U.S. following two weeks of out-of-stock limbo.
