Google Nexus 4 delivery time back to one or two weeks

It’s a rollercoaster ride of emotion. The Google Nexus 4‘s promised delivery time has yo-yo-ed again — but this time it’s good news for phone fans.

The popular Nexus 4 went on sale last week for the first time in ages, but yesterday it seemed the old stock problems were back as delivery times went up to a maximum of three weeks. Thankfully for lovers of shockingly affordable Android smart phones, delivery is today once again listed as taking one to two weeks.

Fingers crossed it won’t take even that long — many customers who bought the Nexus 4 last week with a promised wait of one or two weeks actually received their phone in less than 48 hours.

Aside from yesterday’s delivery time wobble, stock of the Nexus 4 seems to be holding steady. The phone has only been available in Android’s online store Google Play for a matter of hours in the months since it first went on sale in November last year, and at one stage delivery was estimated at up to seven weeks.

Google and the phone’s manufacturer LG seem to have sorted out the stock problems which saw the Nexus 4 selling out as soon as it hit shelves. In the meantime you could have bought the Nexus from a phone network, but compared to the £240 or £280 price tag on Google Play, the networks’ deals look distinctly unappetising.

The Nexus 4 is a 4.7-inch quad-core smart phone running Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software with 2GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, and wireless charging.
