The BlackBerry Q10 is heading to Three. That means unlimited data for the very latest BlackBerry, complete with keyboard for messaging your mates.
The Q10 is the first of the next-generation BlackBerry line-up to sport a signature clicky Qwerty keyboard as well as the latest software and features, including BlackBerry Messenger. Splash out £50 for the Q10 and deals will start at around £35 per month, with tariffs like the One Plan offering unlimited data for all your browsing, streaming and messaging needs.
You’ve got 4G LTE gubbins built-in too, so when Three launches its 4G service later this year you’ll be able to hit the ground running without having to upgrade your phone. Good ol’ Three has said it won’t charge extra for 4G — unlike the UK’s first 4G network, EE — but is in no hurry to launch a 4G service. In the meantime, the Q10 also connects to the Web faster than previous phones using Three’s fast DC-HSDPA network, which is somewhere between 3G and 4G in terms of speed.
It’s the second BlackBerry 10 smart phone after the BlackBerry Z10, which boasted a touchscreen. BlackBerry 10 software includes the option to check your messages with one swipe from any app, a hub for events collecting together related photos and messages, and a new time-shift camera mode.
The Q10 sports a square 3.1-inch AMOLED touchscreen above the clicky keyboard, with an 8-megapixel camera round the back. The phone comes in black or white.
Three has yet to name an exact release date, promising the Q10 “soon”. Are you joining the queue for the Q10? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or jump the queue at our Facebook page.
