The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini goes on sale on Saturday, for £365. The cheaper version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 is arriving this weekend both on contract and SIM-free.
Although we were originally expecting the sawn-off S4 on 5 July, online shops now promise the Android smart phone in mere days.
Retailer Unlocked Mobiles offers the phone SIM-free and unlocked for £365, while Handtec is asking £390. Phones 4U offers the phone on contract and says it will deliver on Monday.
The Mini is offered by all the networks and is expected to be a smash hit like its predecessor, the Galaxy S3 Mini. You can get the phone free on contract, with the odd fancy deal thrown in for good measure: order your S4 Mini on 4G network EE, for example, and you can bag yourself a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch tablet to boot.
One of three spin-offs of the S4 smart phone powerhouse — alongside the S4 Zoom and S4 Active — the S4 Mini sports a 4.3-inch screen with a 1.7GHz dual-core processor and 1.5GB of RAM underneath. Be warned though — it’s very definitely not an S4 with a couple of inches planed off. The Mini doesn’t have a high-definition screen, as a f’instance, and the processor isn’t a patch on the quad-core S4.
Are you planning to slip an S4 Mini into your pocket, or is it a pale shadow of the S4? Tell me your thoughts in the comments or on our Facebook page?
