The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is nearly upon us — and if you go 4G, you could get yourself a free Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7-inch tablet too.
The Mini is the new cheaper version of the Samsung
Galaxy S4, first of a range of S4 spin-offs. It’s available to pre-order now from Phones 4U, with a free 7-inch Samsung tablet chucked in on selected EE contracts.
EE is Britain’s first 4G network, and the S4 Mini joins the S4 in EE’s lineup of LTE phones that connect to the Internet extra-fast.
To net yourself a free slate, you need to opt for the Mini on an EE deal worth £36 per month or more. The sawn-off S4 is also available for free on deals starting at £27 per month.
Samsung’s latest mini spin-off is due to arrive in your hands and on shop shelves on 5 July. Orange and T-Mobile were first to offer the S4 Mini, but it’s likely to show up on every major network.
Don’t be fooled by the name: the Galaxy S4 Mini is far from the performance of its high-end namesake. But the price is pretty friendly on the wallet. For your money, you get a 4.3-inch phone with a dual-core 1.7GHz processor, 8-megapixel camera, and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
Meanwhile the camera-focused Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom has a first price: it’ll cost you £470, according to online shop Handtec.
