The new Google Nexus 7 is coming to the UK in the next few weeks. The 7-inch sequel brings Android 4.3 and a 5-megapixel camera to the own-brand, wallet-friendly tablet.
The new tablet, announced today, goes on sale in the US on 30 July. It then comes to 8 countries, including Britain, Canada, Germany and Japan, “in coming weeks.”
There are three models in the US: a 16GB model with Wi-fi, a 32GB Wi-fi version, and a 32GB 4G LTE model. They will cost $229, $269, and $349 respectively. We expect to see the Wi-fi versions here in Blighty, but not the 4G model — at first, anyway.
The UK price hasn’t yet been confirmed, but the US prices are slightly higher than the current model so we expect a bump in cost. In the UK the current 16GB Nexus 7 costs £160, and the 32GB option costs £200.
