Samsung Hennessy could bring back dual screens

Samsung is prepping a dual-screen Android smartphone known internally as the “Hennessy,” Blog of Mobile reports.

According to the Chinese tech blog, the Hennessy will feature tiny twin 3.3-inch displays with a resolution of 320×480 pixels. In addition, the phone is rumored to run Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, and have a 5-megapixel rear camera, a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB RAM, and 1GB internal storage.

Considering the strange form factor and entry-level hardware specifications, this isn’t a phone we should expect to see in the United States anytime soon.

The Hennessy is the second unconventional Samsung device to leak this week; a flip phone Folder is reported to feature a 3.7-inch 800×480-pixel display.

Samsung, LG, and Kyocera have all attempted dual-screen phones in the past. The quite peculiar results fell flat in sales.
