The LG G2 is literally minutes away from being launched at a glamorous New York event, but if you’re absolutely busting for a sneak peek at the Korean company’s new flagship — and I know I am — a hands-on video has appeared online.
Update: CNET.com went hands-on with the LG G2 at the launch. Read all about it!
Les hommes technologique at French site Club SFR Smartphones have compared the massive new blower to the Galaxy S4. It’s even bigger than Samsung’s top-notch blower, as you can see in the video.
The weird nubbin on the back under the camera is apparently the on/off button, which is odd — wouldn’t it turn off every time you put it down on a table? The direction buttons on either side are volume, and they’re on the back to make it easier to press them while you’re holding the phone normally.
Whether that’s really the case, we’ll find out very soon — the New York event kicks off at 4pm UK time, and you can follow it here on CNET.
My French is un peut rusty, but the video seemed to confirm previously rumoured specs, with a 13-megapixel camera and a quad-core Snapdragon 800 CPU with 2GB RAM. It’s definitely running Android 4.2.2, very nearly the latest version (Android 4.3 is only just appearing on Nexus devices).
What do you make of the massive mobile? Good enough to make you dump your Galaxy S4 or HTC One? Have your say in the comments, or on our gargantuan Facebook page.
