Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom goes 4G on your photos

Want to send your pictures to the Internet with a little extra zoom? You can with a new 4G version of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Zoom.

Samsung’s camera-tastic spin-off of the Galaxy S4 boasts a 16MP snapper and 10x zoom. And the new LTE version zaps your snaps to friends, social networks, or online storage even faster when you have a 4G connection.

Two new 4G networks launched in the UK this week — O2 and Vodafone have now joined EE with super-fast 4G LTE services.

Samsung says the S4 Zoom LTE will go on sale in the UK, but O2 told me it won’t sell the phone. Meanwhile, EE won’t say either way. All three networks do offer the original S4, which is a 4G phone too.

The S4 Zoom looks like a phone on one side, with a 4.3-inch screen and Android 4.2 Jelly Bean software. But flip it over and it looks like a compact camera, with a ring around the zoom lens that controls the camera. Inside is a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and around 5GB of storage.
