HTC Zara 4.5

Time to take a leak. The latest HTC phone to appear ahead of its official release is the mid-range HTC Zara.

The Zara appears in some pretty legit-looking images of the phone, leaked courtesy of the usually-trustworthy EVleaks, revealing a black plastic smart phone.

Although nothing’s official yet, the Zara is rumoured to be an affordable 4.5-inch phone sporting an 8-megapixel camera with LED flash.

Sound gets a boot up the backside from Beats Audio software with dual speakers built-in. It’s said to be running the latest Android 4.3 software — with HTC Sense 5.5 adding a few extra features — and the whole shebang is powered by a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Plus processor with 1GB of RAM.

And the UrbanStrata watermark on the image? That’s a dig at HTC boss Jeff Gordon — Twitter handle @urbanstrata — who previously decried an EVleaks image of the rumoured HTC One Max as fake. “Yep, I’m being trolled,” he says.
