Verizon eyeing the tablet game with Ellipsis 7?

If a recent Twitter leak proves accurate, Verizon could be making its own tablet.

EVLeaks, a Twitter page known for its accurate product image leaks, published a photo on Wednesday of what it claims, is a tablet Verizon is working on. The device appears to be running Android and comes with a 7-inch screen. It’s known as the Ellipsis 7, according to EVLeaks, and comes with what appears to be an awfully thick bezel.

Beyond that, nothing is known about the Ellipsis 7, including features and release date. Still, Verizon already sells tablets from other companies, potentially putting its own tablet in competition with its vendors. That move is not always well-received.

CNET has contacted Verizon for comment on the leak. We will update this story when we have more information.
